Sanyo air conditioning repairs & service in Sydney

We repair and service Sanyo air conditioning across Sydney — split, ducted, cassette and commercial systems. Sanyo's HVAC business was absorbed by Panasonic over a decade ago, so most Sanyo units in the field are legacy systems that still need expert servicing, fault diagnosis and parts. An ARC-licensed technician reads the fault properly and gets you cooling again. Need it sorted today? See our air conditioning repairs in Sydney.

Sanyo repairs & service

Do you repair Sanyo air conditioning?

Yes — we repair and service Sanyo air conditioning across Sydney, for offices, venues, shops and homes. We're an independent ARC-licensed repairer; we are not an authorised Sanyo or Panasonic agent. Sanyo's air-conditioning division was acquired by Panasonic, so a lot of Sanyo work today is keeping existing installed units running — whether it's an older wall split that's stopped cooling or a commercial system throwing a fault, we diagnose to the cause and quote upfront.

Because Sanyo systems are now legacy equipment, components like PCBs, sensors, fan motors, capacitors and compressors fail over time — that's the nature of older units. We read the fault on-site, confirm it and fit a quality part rather than swapping boards on a guess. Where an original Sanyo part is no longer made, we source a manufacturer-approved equivalent — many Sanyo HVAC parts cross over to Panasonic — and we tell you exactly what we're using before we fit it. If a unit is genuinely beyond economical repair, we'll tell you that too.

Common Sanyo faults

Common Sanyo air conditioning faults we fix

If you're seeing any of these, book a check before the next hot spell — many are repairable, often same-day where we can, even on older units.

Not cooling or blowing warm

Often low refrigerant from a slow leak, a dirty coil or a sensor fault on an ageing unit. We find the cause first, then recharge to spec.

Fault code or flashing lamp

Many Sanyo splits flag a fault with a flashing lamp on the indoor unit; commercial systems show an error code. We read it on-site, confirm the cause and fix it — not just reset it.

Inverter / PCB faults

The unit trips, restarts or won't start — on legacy Sanyo units this is frequently an inverter board, capacitor or fan-motor issue we diagnose to the part.

Leaking water indoors

A blocked condensate drain or a failed drain pump pooling under a cassette or ducted head. We clear it and check the fall.

Noise or poor airflow

Rattling, buzzing or weak airflow — usually a fan motor, bearing or a filter and coil overdue for a clean after years of service.

Won't restart straight away

Most splits have a built-in ~3-minute restart delay that protects the compressor — that's normal. If it still won't cool after a few minutes, book a check.

Parts & service

Sanyo spare parts & service in Sydney

We source and fit parts for Sanyo systems — PCBs, sensors, fan motors, capacitors, controllers and filters — backed by a 12-month parts warranty.

Because Sanyo HVAC is now part of Panasonic, original Sanyo-branded parts can be limited; where one is no longer available we fit a quality manufacturer-approved equivalent — often the matching Panasonic component — and tell you exactly what we're using. As a general rule an air conditioner should be serviced at least once a year, and twice a year under heavy use. With an older Sanyo unit, regular servicing matters even more: it keeps airflow strong, power bills down and catches a tired part before it fails in a heatwave.

Want it covered before summer? Book air conditioning maintenance & servicing, or for a system that's down right now, call our 24/7 breakdown service.

FAQ

Sanyo service questions

Do you repair Sanyo air conditioning?
Yes — we repair and service Sanyo split, ducted, cassette and commercial systems across Sydney. Sanyo units are now legacy equipment, so most of this work is keeping existing installations running. We diagnose the real fault, quote upfront and fit quality parts. Tell us the model on the data plate and any fault code or flashing-lamp pattern and we'll confirm before booking.
Can you still get Sanyo spare parts?
Often, yes. Sanyo's HVAC business is now part of Panasonic, so some original Sanyo parts are limited or discontinued — but many cross over to Panasonic components, and we source and fit quality manufacturer-approved equivalents backed by a 12-month parts warranty. We always tell you exactly which part we're using and never substitute without your approval.
Is it worth repairing an older Sanyo unit?
Often it is — a single failed capacitor, sensor or fan motor is usually a straightforward fix, and a well-maintained system can run for years more. We'll give you an honest assessment: if the repair is sensible we'll do it, and if a unit is genuinely beyond economical repair we'll tell you that rather than spend your money on a system at the end of its life.
My Sanyo is showing a fault code or flashing light — what now?
Note the flashing-lamp pattern on the indoor unit, or the code shown on a commercial controller, and call us. Sanyo codes point to a specific area — communication, sensors, the compressor or pressure/refrigerant faults — and we read it on-site, confirm the cause and fix it properly rather than just clearing it, so it doesn't come straight back.
Are you an authorised Sanyo dealer?
No. Active Refrigeration & Air Conditioning is an independent ARC-licensed repairer. We service Sanyo air conditioning, but we are not an authorised, accredited or factory-trained agent of Sanyo or Panasonic. "Sanyo" and its logo are trademarks of their owner and are shown here only to indicate the equipment we repair and maintain.
