Air conditioning installation questions

What size air conditioner do I need?
The right capacity depends on the room or floor area, ceiling height, window size and orientation, insulation and how many areas you're cooling. An undersized unit never keeps up and an oversized one short-cycles and wastes power, so we size it properly on a site visit before quoting — rather than guessing from a chart.
Ducted or split — which costs more?
A split system is the lower upfront cost and is ideal for one or two rooms. A ducted system costs more to install but cools the whole home or floor with a discreet finish, and zoning lets you run only the areas in use. We'll lay out the trade-off for your space so you can decide.
Do you supply the unit or do I buy it?
We can recommend and supply a unit that's the right size and type for your space and budget, then install and commission it. If you've already bought one, talk to us about installing it correctly — sizing still matters.
Are you licensed to install air conditioning?
Yes. We hold NSW contractor licence 330089C for air conditioning and an ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence (L057415), we're an ASSA member and fully insured. The refrigerant, electrical and commissioning work is all done by licensed technicians.
Will a new system need servicing?
Yes — like any air conditioner, a new system runs best with annual servicing, and many warranties require it by a licensed contractor. We can set you up with scheduled air conditioning maintenance so it stays efficient and the warranty stays valid.
